Thoughts on Hair and Fashion Statements.

This summer I decided to try my hand at beginning trends. I used to be good at it; seeing and being seen.

I use Facebook as a medium for the exchange of ideas. For example, in late April, I took several attractive, non-suggestive photographs of myself wearing various scarves that I own -- I only own three -- over t-shirts and light layers. It actually paid off, in a way. A very well-known and -liked local radio personality wore a scarf over dressy clothes to an event (art showing, I believe) at Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio.

A few weeks later, in Glamour Magazine, it was quizzed as a "Do or Don't" trend. The outcome was in favor of summer scarves. It wasn't a particularly novel idea, but it's a start. I was pleased.

The source of problems growing up could have stemmed from my hair, or lack of ability to make it look "good." As my life has progressed, I have learned to style it according to its length and availability of styling products.

Something I've had my eye on Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner. I was saving for those and the two styling products that came with it. Boy was I wrong! Some of the comments on MakeupAlley blast the product line for frying hair and several women mentioned that they had to deep-condition for weeks to restore their hair to a manageable state.

My favorite musical act, Lady Gaga, might have LUPUS. You heard it, folks. I'm going insane just thinking about. Her aunt died from it, and it's genetic. She has at least a 35+ year career ahead of her; not even kidding. Those people who say she'll burn out soon underestimate her Monsters' love for her. Gaga is here to stay.

In other news
, I'm trying to get motivated to write some more. I've got an idea that has merit, and it will shake up a franchise that needs updating. Other people have done the same in that company (Nintendo) and I'm not about to pass up the most fleeting of chances that I can stir up the cartoon genre with a children's cartoon that's been around for 15 years, and now has a substantial adult following. I'm ready.
